Three Tornadoes Tear Through City, Causing Widespread Damage

Tens of Thousands of Residents Without Power After EF-3 Twister Hits Preston Hollow

An EF-3 tornado touched down in the Preston Hollow area of Dallas on Sunday night, decimating homes and businesses. It was one of three tornadoes that ripped through the city, leaving a trail of heavy damage across the area including collapsed buildings and downed power. Hundreds of thousands of Dallas residents woke up to no power on Monday after a tornado plowed a long path through the north of the city. The tornadoes left a path of destruction across the city, with homes and businesses destroyed, trees uprooted, and power lines downed.

The National Weather Service confirmed that the tornado that hit Preston Hollow was an EF-3, with winds of up to 136 mph. The tornado was on the ground for about a mile and a half, and it caused extensive damage to homes and businesses in its path. The tornado also caused power outages in the area, and some residents are still without power as of Monday morning.

The other two tornadoes that hit Dallas were an EF-1 and an EF-2. The EF-1 tornado touched down in the Oak Cliff area, and it caused damage to homes and businesses in that area. The EF-2 tornado touched down in the Pleasant Grove area, and it caused damage to homes and businesses in that area as well.

The tornadoes are the latest in a series of severe weather events that have hit the Dallas area in recent weeks. The city has been hit by several hailstorms and thunderstorms in recent weeks, and the tornadoes are the most severe weather event to hit the city in recent years.
